Dear Clarent follows the story of two estranged detectives in 1934 who hope to rekindle their friendship through the "lost" investigation of an incident directly affecting their lives: The 1914 sinking of the S.S. Clarent Rex. In doing so, they find truths both about the case and their own relationship.  All the while, the duo piece together the intertwined lives of various passengers and associates at the top and bottom of both American and English society alike. Players sift through documents, newspapers, photos, audio, and utilize real-life historical context to separate the “fact” from fiction about the disaster, all while going down the chaotic rabbit hole of the industrial-age wold.
